Sewing Hope
Sewing Hope is a charity sewing group founded many years ago in memory of Chelsea Maclean, who passed away much to early in her life (15). We dedicate our sewing to her, providing for the joy of giving of ourselves to others. We sew quilts, crochet, knit and anything else related to sewing. All of our projects are donated to hospitals, Project Linus, a baby shower for American Legion, fleece tie blankets for the Detroit Street Outreach, donations to our Deacons Thanksgiving food giving, Preemie Pals, comfort quilts to our ailing members, and quilts for our Valentines for the Vets program at GCPC. We have also made "Rosie" quilts to honor our "Rosie the Riveter" program with the Straight Historical Museum of Garden City. More members are always welcome with any sewing projects.
